About myself
I am Vidadala Rajendra, a passionate Plant Breeder, Quantitative Geneticist, and Scientific Reviewer with a deep commitment to enhancing global food security through resilient crop development. Currently serving as an Assistant Manager, Lecturer and a Research scholar. I bridge the gap between cutting-edge research and practical agricultural solutions.

My Philosophy
I believe that great research tells a story—it moves readers, shapes meaning, and drives innovation. Good researchers collect data; great researchers shape meaning. My work is driven by the conviction that sustainable agricultural practices, empowered by modern genetics and 'omics' technologies, can build a food-secure and climate-resilient future.
My Journey
From a young age, I was captivated by the serene resilience of forests and their ability to sustain life. While my career path led me into the world of plant breeding, that early connection to nature never faded. Today, I channel that passion into developing stress-tolerant crops that can withstand climate challenges while maintaining nutritional quality—particularly through my work on Quality Protein Maize (QPM) and tomato breeding.
Research Focus
My primary objective is to enhance the quality of life through the development of stress-resistant and climate-smart crops. I am currently leading crucial research projects aimed at producing heat-tolerant backcross populations of Quality Protein Maize, addressing the adverse effects of heat stress while preserving high-quality protein content essential for human nutrition.
My expertise spans:
Genetics & Plant Breeding
Quantitative Genetics
Seed Technology
Plant Biotechnology
Organic & Sustainable Agriculture
Agroforestry & Climate-Resilient Landscapes
Marker-Assisted Selection (MAS) and 'Omics' Technologies
Academic & Research Contributions
I hold a Master of Science from Centurion University of Technology and Management, where I continue to contribute as a researcher and educator. My scholarly output includes:
18+ publications in peer-reviewed journals and book chapters
5,323 reads and 40 citations on ResearchGate
h-index of 4 with growing recognition in the scientific community
Now im currenty pursuing Ph.D in Genetics and Plant Breeding from the SR UNIVERSITY. Warangal, Telanagana, India
